Foundations and Reinforced Concrete Construction

The scope of work undertaken in this category is extremely varied and may often form a major part of other work types. Much of our reinforced concrete work is carried out as ‘design and construct’ and often as a value engineering alternative to original proposals.

Typical schemes have included;

  • Water retaining structures, attenuation tanks, screen chambers and overflows
  • Culverts, headwalls, outfalls, spillways and cascades
  • Shaft base slabs, intermediate landings and roof slabs
  • Conical sludge tanks, tank bases, inlet works and pumping stations
  • Retaining walls in sheet piling, reinforced concrete, king post, brickwork and masonry
  • Bridge abutments including sheet piled cofferdams and CFA piling
  • Bridge decks from in-situ or pre-cast concrete
  • Pedestrian underpasses, work pits and basements
  • Access roads, ground slabs and storage yards
  • Beams, columns and suspended slabs
  • Shear walls & ‘twin wall pre-cast’ systems
  • Industrial, commercial building and office block foundations
  • Shear walls & ‘twin wall pre-cast’ systems
  • Plant foundations, machine bases & press pits
  • Canal basins, channels and capping beams
  • Underground fuel tanks and re-fuelling areas
  • Vehicle wash, weighbridges and sprinkler tanks
  • Waterproofing, tanking, waterbar, spray applied & hydrophilic systems, injection sealant
  • Residential development foundations - rafts, double rafts, strip footings, trench fill, vibro or piled foundations with ground beams
  • Mini-Piling solutions
