Mini-Piling
Mini Piling services are provided through associate company Mini-Piling & Drilling which offers a wide range of cost effective mini-piling solutions for new build (commercial, residential, industrial and civil), underpinning and restoration schemes as well as for ground engineering problems.
Our range of mini-piling rigs includes units designed to work in areas with restricted access, working space or headroom including inside buildings and residential property. Piling platforms are generally not required due to the compact design of the track mounted units thus minimising establishment costs.
Mini-piling services include pile design and testing as well as design and construction of foundations, rafts, ring beams, slabs and bases.
Driven steel cased piles up to 375mm diameter, pile depths to 25m
- Drop hammer rigs from 0.5-3.5 tonnes - track mounted and wheeled units
- Bottom driven piles with welded connections to pile extension sections give full strength pile with watertight joints
- No cutting down piles as with CFA/driven pre-cast therefore no wastage and no soil disposal - reduced cost
- Electronic pre-set ‘driving’ and ‘set’ system which can be used to verify pile capacities
- Steel cased piles can act in compression and tension as well as resist horizontal forces
- Driven pile solutions include;
- Piled needle beams from inside and outside a property
- Underpinning from outside a property with cantilever crosshead beams
- Building support with internal piles and RC floor slab with projecting needles for load bearing walls
- Building extensions on sloping ground
- New build on poor ground conditions
Bored piles up to 450mm diameter, pile depths to 15m
- Tracked hydraulic rigs from 1.0-15 tonnes
- Dual head rigs enabling simultaneous casing of pile bores
- Bored pile solutions include;
- CFA Piles
- Augered mini-piles
- Secant pile walls
- Rotary cased piles
- Secant pile walls
- ODEX drilled piles
- Reinforced grout piles for stanchion and gantry bases
