Please note that we will never ask you for money when you apply to work for us, or for any induction with us.  Only provide your personal information if you are 100% certain that the request has come from us.  If you are uncertain please contact

Our people are the key to our success and this is why we seek to employ the best. Forkers has an enviable reputation in the industry for delivering high quality schemes and the only way to achieve this is by employing like-minded, hard-working, talented people who  take pride in their work and who strive for excellence.

Being a family-owned business, family is very important to us and we want our employees to feel that they are part of the family too.  We actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion within our business and are working with other organisations in the industry/education sector to help change the face of construction, so that everyone is encouraged to consider a career in construction where there are no barriers.  Respect for one and other is extremely important and we expect all of our employees to treat each other, members of the public, clients, suppliers, etc with respect and dignity.

We are committed to the training and development of our employees, to ensure that everyone has the skills and knowledge to reach their full potential. We are actively looking into apprenticeships across all our business areas to ensure that we have the skills required to meet future demands and growth of our business.

Forkers are proud to announce that we are now a member of Women into Construction – an independent not-for-profit organisation that promotes gender equality in construction.  11% of our workforce is female and with 2 female board members we are delighted to be working with Women into Construction.

The construction industry in the UK employs approx. 2.4 million people, but only 13% of these are female.  More surprisingly, only 1% of those employed in manual roles are women.   We are working to change this gender imbalance in both our business and in the industry as a whole, and are actively looking to recruit more women into our company.  We are also currently working with one of our major clients and their supply chain along with the education sector and local authorities to address the issues faced by women within this industry to encourage more women to consider a career in construction.

The theme for International Women's Day 2020 is #EachforEqual – where an equal world is an enabled world.  If you are a woman who already has a career in construction and are looking to work for a forward thinking company like ourselves then please get in touch.  If you are uncertain about which career path to follow, i.e. if you are still studying or are looking for a career change, or if you know anyone who is, we would be pleased to hear from you/them and would be happy to provide advice, work experience, taster days, job opportunities, etc.

We currently have the following career opportunities so if you’re of the same mind-set and feel you’ve got what it takes to join the Forkers family we’d love to hear from you.
