September 2022

Severn Trent Water (STW) have created a £565m Green Recovery programme in response to the Governments challenge to help the country’s green economic recovery from the pandemic. The Green Recovery programme will deliver benefits and improvements to the environment and local communities.

Forkers will be playing a key role in the delivery of Green Recovery through our role in designing and building schemes in Leamington and Rugby to improve river water quality in the Rivers Leam and Avon.  We have been working with STW through Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) since October 2021 and to date have completed feasibility and scoping works including site investigation and are now commencing outline design with our design partner, Wood Plc. The programme has ambitious targets for delivery and by working collaboratively with STW we are on track to meet the programme with construction starting in 2023.
